About the Job
Overview
Key Responsibilities: • Knowledge of sofa upholstery fabrics, curtain fabrics, and cushion fabrics. • Understanding of fabric types such as Polyester, Velvet, Linen, Cotton, Jacquard, Chenille, Leatherette, and Blended Fabrics. • Fabric sourcing, vendor coordination, and price negotiation. • Knowledge of fabric GSM, width, durability, color fastness, and quality standards. • Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers for fabric procurement. • Maintaining fabric catalogs, samples, and inventory records. • Assisting customers in fabric selection based on design and application. • Monitoring market trends, new fabric developments, and pricing. Required Skills: ✔ Strong knowledge of home furnishing fabrics. ✔ Understanding of sofa upholstery, curtains, cushions, and interior textiles. ✔ Vendor management and sourcing experience. ✔ Good communication and negotiation skills. ✔ Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Email, ERP preferred). Preferred Background: • Home Furnishing Industry • Interior Design Products • Upholstery Fabric Industry • Textile & Furnishing Showrooms • Fabric Manufacturing / Trading Companies Qualification: • Graduate / Diploma in Textile, Fashion, Interior Design, or relevant field preferred.
