This includes proficiency in drafting standards, dimensioning, and annotation. * CATIA: Experience with CATIA, a powerful CAD/CAM/CAE software suite, is highly desirable for designing complex mechanical systems and components. This includes proficiency in advanced modeling techniques, simulation, and analysis. **Roles and Responsibilities:** * Develop and create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CATIA, adhering to industry standards and best practices. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure designs meet functional requirements, performance specifications, and manufacturability constraints. * Perform design calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and optimize performance, utilizing tools within SolidWorks and CATIA. * Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), design specifications, and engineering change orders (ECOs). * Participate in design reviews and provide technical feedback to improve design quality and efficiency. * Contribute to the development of new products and the improvement of existing products by identifying design opportunities and implementing innovative solutions. * Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechanical design software, tools, and techniques. * Troubleshoot design-related issues and provide technical support to manufacturing and other departments. * Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards. * Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
