Skills Required

1. Ensure shift takeover without delays from previous shift2. Inform the shift superintendent of any likely shortage of equipment which impacts productivity3. Ensure sufficient lashing gear to carry out loading/unloading4. Assign RTGs to various CY zones to ensure proper utilisation of equipment5. Brief shift superintendent on shift progress, and problems faced during the shift6. Supervise truck loading and unloading operations7. Unload/load containers at correct yard positions in accordance with load and discharge plans8. Monitor truck loading and loading operations and take prompt actions to avoid delays9. Co-ordinate the movement of containers from the CY to rail and vice versa and record all wagon numbers10. Ensure adherence to safety norms, 1. Yard Operations 2. CT Operations3. Navis4.
