Job Description – Veterinary Equipment Head Position Title: Business Development Manager Department: Veterinary Equipment Division Location: Pan India Reports To: Zonal head ________________________________________ Role Objective To lead the Veterinary Equipment Division by driving sales, business development, operations, and customer service while ensuring strong market penetration and growth across India. The role involves managing a team, developing strategies, and building strong relationships with veterinary hospitals, clinics, research institutions, and distributors. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Business Development & Sales • Develop and execute sales strategies for veterinary equipment. • Identify new business opportunities with veterinary hospitals, clinics, government institutions, and private practices. • Achieve revenue and growth targets. • Build partnerships with distributors and channel partners. 2. Product & Market Management • Oversee the product portfolio of veterinary medical equipment (diagnostic, surgical, and laboratory devices). • Conduct competitor analysis, pricing strategies, and market positioning. • Identify gaps and suggest product innovations or sourcing opportunities. 3. Team Leadership • Recruit, train, and lead a team of sales & service engineers for veterinary equipment. • Monitor team performance and provide guidance for achieving individual and departmental goals. • Ensure effective coordination between sales and service teams. 4. Customer Relationship Management • Build strong relationships with key customers (veterinarians, clinics, research institutions). • Address client needs and resolve escalated issues promptly. • Organize product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions. 5. Strategic & Operational Management • Develop annual business plans and budgets for the veterinary division. • Monitor performance metrics and report progress to management. • Coordinate with logistics, service, and technical teams for smooth operations. ________________________________________ Key Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of veterinary equipment and medical devices. • Proven track record in sales & business development. • Excellent leadership and people management skills. • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. • Ability to build and manage customer & distributor networks. • Strategic thinker with execution capabilities. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Veterinary Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Life Sciences (preferred). • MBA in Marketing/Business Management (added advantage). • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in medical/veterinary equipment sales & management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. • Strong industry network within veterinary hospitals, research centers, and government institutions. ________________________________________ Compensation • Competitive salary + incentives (based on experience & performance).
