Python Django Developer with AI Integration Expertise Experience: 2.5+ Years | Location: Kolkata (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time | Immediate Joiner Preferred Position Summary We are hiring a skilled and motivated Python Django Developer with proven expertise in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models into production web applications. The role is based in our Kolkata office and requires a minimum of 2.5 years of professional experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services and APIs, with an emphasis on seamless integration of intelligent features. Immediate joiners are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Backend & API Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable web applications and RESTful APIs using Python, Django, and the Django REST Framework (DRF). AI/ML Integration: Work collaboratively with data science teams to integrate, deploy, and serve pre-trained AI/ML models (e.g., NLP, recommendation engines) into the core application logic via secure API endpoints. Database Management: Design, optimize, and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) to support complex data models and high-throughput operations, including requirements for machine learning features. System Architecture: Contribute to system architecture planning, ensuring the backend is robust, secure, and scalable, particularly concerning the interaction between core application logic and AI services. Testing & QA: Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests (using tools like PyTest) to ensure code quality, reliability, and accuracy of integrated AI features. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the Django application, database queries, and data retrieval processes essential for AI services. Deployment & Operations: Support the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), utilizing tools such as Docker and adhering to basic CI/CD principles. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2.5 years of professional experience in Python Backend Development. Core Framework: Demonstrated expertise in Django and the Django REST Framework (DRF), including advanced usage of ORM, Middleware, and application security. AI/ML Integration: Proven hands-on experience in API-based integration of AI/ML models into a web backend, including model serving management and efficient payload handling. Machine Learning Libraries: Familiarity with foundational ML/data science libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy. Database: Proficiency with PostgreSQL or MySQL, including advanced query writing, indexing, and performance tuning. Version Control: Expert use of Git for version control and collaborative development. Web Technologies: Working knowledge of front-end integration concepts to ensure seamless client-server communication. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Experience with asynchronous task queues such as Celery. Familiarity with containerization using Docker and basic DevOps/MLOps principles. Prior experience working within an Agile/Scrum development methodology.
